Episode 7 - Birdemic: Shock and Terror

And we’re back! Summer vacation is finally over and we’ve got a bunch more awful, garbage movies for ya! Let’s start things off with quite possibly the very worst yet, 2008’s Birdemic: Shock and Terror! With wooden acting, preachy dialogue, shoe-string special FX and wind blowing directly into the mic in basically every single shot, this movie never ceases to disappoint OR piss off! Recorded a bit differently, this week’s episode features MST3K type commentary by Rob and Eric OVER the movie! Enjoy! (insert bird CAW! sound effect)

Episode 6 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3

Who were you expecting, the Adam’s Family? Nope! It’s your hosts Rob, Eric and appearing for one night only, back by popular demand (not really) BRIAN! Join us for Episode #7 as we discuss the slimy green awfulness that is 1993’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3. Time travel rules in film. The return of Corey Feldman to the franchise, and Michael Bay’s upcoming remake. All that, plus the return of our beloved film / Marxist philosopher Slavoj Zizek on this week’s Horribly Awful Movie Society Podcast! Cowabunga dudes!

Episode 5 - Branded To Kill

Episode #5 finds Rob, Eric and Jason sniffing from the pungent boiling rice that is 1967’s Branded To Kill. Black and white and violent all over, join the guys as they discuss such topics as who does number 2 work for, and much much more. Remember, if you can’t sleep well with your eyes open, you’ve been badly trained. Enjoy!

Episode 4 - The Long Kiss Goodnight

Episode #4 finds Rob, Eric and Jason discussing the horribly written, ridiculously acted and thoroughly unenjoyable gem that is 1996’s The Long Kiss Goodnight. This may in fact be the beginning of the now long trend of phoned in Samuel L. Jackson performances, and he was the best actor in the entire movie! Corny one-liners. Cheep special effects. It’s all here. Plus Eric’s horrific account of the dangers of San Francisco’s House of Air! Life is pain. Get used to it! Enjoy!

Episode 3 - The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension

Episode #3 can be summed up in one word: Backaroo. That’s right! This week, the guys watched 1984’s The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension! Join Rob, Eric and special guest Jason as they try and decide, once and for all, what exactly constitutes a “bad” movie. Terrible acting: Check. Horrible dialogue: Check. Seriously entertaining plot AND characters: Check! All that, plus a brand new segment: Alternate Movie Titles. Remember, no matter where you go, there you are. Enjoy!

Episode 2 - Battlefield Earth

Episode #2 finds the guys discussing the one movie that may very well get them killed! The Scientology funded, horribly written, horribly directed and horribly, horribly edited, Battlefield Earth (2000). Can Rob and Eric mine this massive turd for even a hint of humor? Could John Travolta’s acting be any more ridiculous? How did cavemen learn to fly jet planes? And how did Forest Whitaker’s agent save his acting career after this tremendous bomb? All this, plus another special appearance from our good friend and social philosopher / cultural critic Slavoj Zizek, on this weeks Horribly Awful Movie Society Podcast!

Episode 1 - ThanksKilling

The long wait is finally over! Episode #1 of The Horribly Awful Movie Society Podcast has arrived! To celebrate this momentous occasion, the guys thought they’d re-visit the film that started it all. That’s right! The guys from HAMS decided that the first film to watch and discuss is 2009’s ThanksKilling. Gobble gobble mother-cluckers! Enjoy!
